Game Data Sharing
Data Sharing lets one Organization (source) share data directly with another Organization (destination) - specifically for use in PipelineIQ tools: Data Warehouse, Data Export and Metrics API.
This enables seamless collaboration for:
- Co-development or prototyping across studios
- Sharing analytics with publishers or agencies
- Enabling shared access for acquisitions or mergers
info
The destination Organization must be subscribed to PipelineIQ for sharing game data to be possible.
How to use Data Sharing
-
Establish the connection between Organizations.
- Destination Organization: Generate a connection link from Organization Settings → Data Sharing settings, and share it with the source Organization.
- Source Organization: Review and accept the data sharing request - creating the connection.
-
Select Games to share: Once the connection is established, the source Organization chooses which games to share. This is done in Game Settings → Data Sharing.
info
Data Sharing can only be enabled and configured by Organization Owners or Primary Owners, and can be revoked by either party at any time.
How shared data is accessed at the Destination Organization
| Data Warehouse | Shared game data is queryable starting the next day, with full historical access. |
| Data Export | If enabled, real-time exports become available to the destination Organizations immediately. |
| Metrics API | Destination Orgs can query the shared game’s metrics immediately. |
Best Practices & Tips
- Coordinate with partners to establish data sharing agreements and compliance protocols.
- Source Organizations should regularly review shared data permissions to maintain security.
- Destination Organizations can analyze shared data alongside their own in Data Warehouse, Data Export and Metrics API to get comprehensive, portfolio-level insights.
