Use cases
Here are a few examples of how teams might use the Engagement Matrix:
Compare Session Starts by Country
Add the “Session Start” event multiple times, filtering each by a different country. This allows you to see which regions have higher user engagement and adoption.
Evaluate Level Completion Rates
Use progression events to identify which levels are most commonly played and how many users reach them. A low MAU% with high frequency might indicate a bottleneck or frustration point.
Monitor Feature Adoption
Track how many users interact with a newly released feature (e.g., “Save to Favorites”) and how often. A high reach but low frequency could suggest users are trying it but not returning to it.
Spot Power User Behaviors
Identify events that are triggered frequently by a small segment of users (e.g., advanced filters, settings changes). These may indicate areas for onboarding or help content improvements.
