Triggers define what condition constitutes a starting segment and when these players are considered as returning.

It is possible to report User Return Rate insights based on your entire player base (not only installing players) by defining custom Start and Return triggers (event condition).

Selecting the Event condition allows selection of a specific event type and properties related to that event (event specific or global dimensions).

In the following example we defined the Start trigger to be for players who sent a Progression event with a Complete status and a specific level name (level100) while also having the country dimension equal to the US. The Return trigger is set to Any session.

The chart would then visualize, for each day, the ratio (percentage) of players playing on the day vs. having completed level 100, X days ago while being in the US.
